Shania Twain biography
Shania Twain is a Canadian country-pop crossover superstar, singer, and songsmith. She established her presence in global music history with dominating chart hits, most notably her 1997 Grammy-winning romantic ballad "You're Still the One."
At 61 years old, Twain continues to reinvent her creative catalog and aesthetic style. She partnered with electronic dance producer Zedd to release a high-energy EDM remix of "You're Still the One" connected to the mobile gaming world of Candy Crush. The revamped song arrived with a fantasy music video showing Twain riding a pastel unicorn. In addition to music updates, Twain revealed she is eager to alter her signature style by chopping her locks into a short bob haircut.
Throughout her career, Twain has looked to fellow legend Dolly Parton as a career blueprint and vital songwriting influence. Following Parton's death, Twain honored her mentor publicly and posted throwback footage of the pair sharing the stage for a duet performance of Parton's classic hit "Coat of Many Colors."
- Coverage of Shania Twain highlights her willingness to bring classic nineties hits into contemporary digital culture, combining gaming tie-ins and electronic dance remixes alongside public reflections on her artistic style and mentors.
