Banners and native cards
Paid cards inside our feeds and article pages carry a sponsor label. They never cover the page, block reading or open pop-ups.
Sponsored articles
Sponsored features are marked SPONSORED in the kicker and in a banner at the top of the page, and name the brand that paid for them. Outbound links in short-term sponsored features do not pass search ranking value. Sponsored articles are excluded from our news feed for Google News.
Editorial independence
Advertisers get no advance sight of, or influence over, our reporting. Buying advertising does not buy coverage, and refusing to advertise does not affect it.
