Elizabeth Holmes

Elizabeth Holmes is the disgraced founder of Theranos who gained global notoriety following the high-profile downfall of her Silicon Valley technology startup. After an investigation into the company, Holmes was convicted of fraud and is currently serving a sentence in federal prison.

Holmes unexpectedly re-entered headline news in September 2026 after comedian and director Nathan Fielder revealed he had secretly worked on a project about her for several years. Titled You Can See Everything, the feature-length documentary features secret sit-down interviews conducted with the incarcerated former tech executive. The project premiered as an unannounced surprise screening at the Telluride Film Festival in Colorado, shocking attendees and industry buyers.

Following its initial secret screening, the documentary centered on Holmes dominated conversations across the autumn film festival circuit, including the Toronto International Film Festival, despite not even appearing on the official program there. The project also generated wider cultural commentary, inspiring fake trailer parodies on late-night television shows.
