KATSEYE Make History As New EP 'WILD' Shatters Sales Records At No. 1

The global pop sensation KATSEYE has officially reached the top of the music world. The international girl group just landed their very first No. 1 project on the Billboard 200 chart, delivering a staggering first-week performance that puts them in a league of their own. Their five-track release, *WILD*, dominated the music charts by moving 170,000 equivalent album units during its initial tracking period. That impressive figure shatters the group's previous record set by their 2025 project *Beautiful Chaos*, which entered the charts at No. 4 after generating 44,000 units.

The record-breaking release isn't just a massive personal win for KATSEYE—it also makes music history. Reports confirm that *WILD* earned the highest single-week unit tally for any all-female group since Billboard revamped its main chart calculation methodology to include streaming units in 2015. The EP's success extends far beyond overall album sales. The project's latest single, "Hootie Frutti," landed at No. 31 on the Billboard Hot 100. That track joins previously released fan favorites "Pinky Up" and "Animal," giving the five-track collection three distinct top 40 hits on the singles chart.

Despite the explosive chart achievement, the major victory comes alongside ongoing chatter within the fandom. Music analysts and pop culture watchers have noted that discussions regarding potential member breaks and hiatuses have surfaced around the same time as this career milestone. Still, KATSEYE's trajectory has been nothing short of meteoric since making their formal debut in 2024. By turning a five-track EP into a chart-topping cultural moment, the group has firmly established themselves as a powerhouse pop act.
