Sony Pictures Television

Sony Pictures Television is a major entertainment studio and television production company responsible for developing, producing, and managing a wide range of television programming across broadcast and streaming platforms. Its portfolio includes long-running syndicated game shows as well as high-budget live-action adaptations of popular comic book and video game properties.

The company frequently collaborates with major streaming platforms as a producing partner. Under a multi-title deal with Amazon MGM Studios designed to bring property libraries to television screens, Sony Pictures Television launched the live-action superhero series Spider-Noir starring Nicolas Cage on Prime Video, which ran for one season. The studio partnership also includes a live-action series adaptation of the blockbuster video game franchise God of War, which entered active production after early creative adjustments and a lead casting change following an on-set injury to actor Ryan Hurst.

In addition to drama series, Sony Pictures Television oversees ongoing management and production for classic television properties like Wheel of Fortune. The studio manages internal investigations, recasting decisions, and operational logistics for the on-air talent and commentary roles across its broadcast television properties.
