Peacock Theater

Peacock Theater is a live performance and event venue located in Downtown Los Angeles, California. The venue hosts major live television broadcasts, award shows, and high-profile entertainment industry ceremonies, serving as a primary stage for television and pop culture gatherings.

The venue was selected as the host location for the 78th Annual Emmy Awards on September 14, 2026. In the days leading up to the live broadcast, host Mariska Hargitay joined the telecast's executive production team outside the theater to unroll the signature blue carpet while behind-the-scenes crews built out the elaborate stage and venue setups inside.

During the ceremony inside the theater, the venue hosted a wide range of television stars, nominees, and musical guest performers. Highlights on stage included an emotional musical cover by singer-songwriter Noah Kahan, a comedy segment featuring Taylor Swift, and formal theater seating for acclaimed actor Matthew Rhys and fellow Emmy winners before attendees departed for late-night post-show celebrations in Los Angeles.
