Nigella Lawson

Nigella Lawson is a British celebrity chef, food writer, broadcaster, and television personality known for her warm, indulgent culinary style. Self-styled as a domestic goddess, she has built a prominent reputation as a long-standing authority in the culinary world and an established author of cookbooks.

In August 2026, television producers revealed that Lawson was joining the judging panel for the 17th season of The Great British Bake Off, stepping into the marquee baking tent to fill the seat vacated by departing veteran judge Prue Leith. The casting decision marked Lawson's first major return to British prime-time broadcast television following a six-year absence from prime-time lineups. She officially launched her return alongside longtime judge Paul Hollywood and fan-favorite co-hosts Alison Hammond and Noel Fielding.

Her arrival on the hit reality competition series drew widespread praise from audiences and commentators alike. While rumors of potential behind-the-scenes tension between Lawson and Hollywood circulated ahead of the broadcast, reports confirmed that getting acquainted on set proved to be smooth and entirely effortless for both culinary personalities.
