Mahershala Ali

Mahershala Ali is a two-time Academy Award-winning actor who leads major cinematic productions across a variety of genres. Neutral reports highlight his reputation for delivering deeply complex performances in both large studio projects and character-driven thrillers.

In his feature film project Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother, Ali stars as Latif, an assassin-for-hire whose high-stakes life is governed by his devout Islamic faith. Directed by Bassam Tariq, the gritty action thriller explores the dangerous world of contract killers while incorporating religious rumination. Ali performs opposite rising actor Adia, who makes her major feature film debut in the project.

Ali was also attached to star as the famous half-vampire hero in Marvel Studios' anticipated reboot of Blade. The superhero project faced repeated development hurdles and production delays, leading director Bassam Tariq to step away from the comic book reboot before directing Ali in their standalone action feature.
