Honey Boo Boo

Alana Thompson, widely recognized by the public moniker Honey Boo Boo, is a former child reality television personality and child pageant contestant. She first captured national audience attention on competitive child pageants and cable networks alongside her family, becoming a household name through her television appearances.

Moving on from chasing tiaras, stage makeup, and filming reality television segments, Thompson has undertaken a complete career pivot into the healthcare field. As she celebrated her milestone 21st birthday, reports confirmed that she traded fancy costumes for hospital scrubs to focus strictly on a demanding medical career path. She is actively working toward becoming a certified pediatric nurse specializing in children's intensive care.

Thompson's public life remains connected to her famous family, which includes her mother Mama June Shannon and her older sister Lauryn "Pumpkin" Efird. Her family has faced major life events in recent years, including the loss of Thompson's elder sister Anna "Chickadee" Cardwell to stage 4 adrenal carcinoma in December 2023, as well as joint family trips to celebrate Thompson's milestones in Colorado.
