Casey Affleck

Casey Affleck is an Oscar-winning actor and film director. He has worked on high-profile cinematic projects, including directing his third feature-length movie, an ambitious multi-period gothic drama titled Company.

Affleck debuted Company in competition at the Venice Film Festival in Italy, speaking to reporters about how the project served as an outlet for global turmoil and personal reflections. While attending the festival on the Lido, he walked the red carpet alongside his twenty-year-old son, Indiana Affleck, whom he shares with his former wife, actress and activist Summer Phoenix. The film festival festival events surrounding the project also brought together his partner Caylee Cowan and his brother, Ben Affleck.

The filmmaker faced severe personal tragedy when his father, Timothy Affleck, passed away earlier in the year. The death followed closely after the passing of his mother, Chris Anne Affleck, who died at age eighty-three after a six-month battle with pancreatic cancer, marking a devastating period of grief for him and his family.
