The indie heavyweights reunited after collaborating on War Child's 'HELP(2)' charity album.

Green Man Festival delivered a massive indie crossover moment this weekend in Wales. Festival-goers watching British rock band Wolf Alice got a rare treat when frontwoman Ellie Rowsell turned her set into a stunning indie supergroup performance on stage. Joining Rowsell on stage were fellow acclaimed musicians Anna Calvi and Dove Ellis. Together, the talented trio gave the crowd a hypnotic cover performance of an iconic track by 1990s dream-pop legends Mazzy Star.
What did Wolf Alice sing at Green Man Festival?
The impromptu stage reunion was months in the making. Back in March, charity label War Child Records released its star-studded *HELP(2)* benefit compilation album. That album featured an original collaborative song called "Sunday Light," which was written and recorded by Rowsell, Calvi, Ellis, and fellow artist Nilüfer Yanya. When three of those four musicians found themselves on the same lineup at the Welsh festival circuit over the weekend, they seized the opportunity to share the spotlight. Rather than restricting themselves strictly to their charity track, they gave fans an unexpected treat by channeling Mazzy Star's melancholic sound live on stage.

Who performed Mazzy Star cover at Green Man?
The dynamic performance placed Rowsell's distinct vocals right alongside Ellis's harmonies and Calvi's intricate, commanding guitar flourishes. The festival moment quickly captured the attention of concertgoers, with fans raving online about the unexpected line-up. While Nilüfer Yanya was absent from the festival reunion, the remaining trio proved that their charity record chemistry translates seamlessly into a live festival environment. It remains unclear if the supergroup will perform together again during the remaining summer festival run, but their Green Man collaboration easily stands as one of the weekend's most talked-about sets.
