Sharon Horgan Chases Sex And Romance In First Trailer For HBO Comedy 'Youth'

Sharon Horgan is back on screen, taking on the brutal reality of aging with her signature razor-sharp wit. Premium cable giant HBO released the debut trailer for her new comedy project *Youth*, offering audiences a quick preview of what happens when midlife hits like a freight train. The series stars Horgan as Alex, a woman struggling to come to terms with the inevitable march of time while attempting to keep her romantic life alive. Rather than going quietly into middle age, Alex dives into the complicated world of dating and romance, even as her own physical frame starts dropping unwanted reminders that time is ticking.

The teaser opens with a reality check from screen veteran Harriet Walter, who plays a character dropping some tough medical news on Alex. Walter casually informs her that a jaw issue looks suspiciously like arthritis, causing Alex to spiral about whether her golden years are officially spiraling into a steady downward slope. From that awkward medical exchange, the trailer jumps into a whirlwind of awkward encounters, dating dilemmas, and intimate missteps. Alex isn't ready to throw in the towel on romance or passion, leading to plenty of relatable chaos as she negotiates love in a youth-obsessed culture.
