Seth Meyers Eyes Beyoncé as His Ultimate 'Day Drinking' Dream Guest

Getting boozy with A-listers in the middle of the afternoon is a tough job, but someone has to do it. For years, Seth Meyers held one star above all others as the absolute pinnacle for his hit *Late Night* bit "Day Drinking." That crown belonged to Rihanna, who famously joined the late-night host for a round of chaotic, heavy-pouring fun. But now that the singer has already graced his bar stool, Meyers is setting his sights on an even bigger prize. During a recent behind-the-scenes audience Q&A uploaded online, the NBC personality admitted he has a fresh holy grail on his wishlist. When asked who stands at the top of his dream guest board today, Meyers did not hesitate to drop the name of Queen Bey herself: Beyoncé.

The "Day Drinking" franchise has become a signature staple for *Late Night with Seth Meyers*. The premise is simple yet brutal: Meyers takes a top-tier celebrity to an empty bar, mixes up horrifying custom cocktails alongside actual liquor shots, and lets the booze-fueled conversational chaos unfold. Over the years, major stars like Sabrina Carpenter, Paul Rudd, and Kelly Clarkson have all braved the midday intoxication. However, Meyers credits Rihanna with legitimizing the entire concept. Before she agreed to participate, pitching famous actors and musicians on getting visibly tipsy on national television was a steep hill to climb. Once the Fenty mogul jumped on board and delivered legendary television, the segment suddenly became the place to be for Hollywood royalty.

BUZZBEAT

Meyers explained to his studio audience that building up enough trust to secure Rihanna took years of cultivation, but her appearance ultimately paved the way for every big name that followed. Now that the bar has been raised, Meyers feels there is only one logical step left to take. Since he has already partied with one of the biggest names on the planet, he figures he might as well aim straight for the top. Securing Beyoncé would certainly require a monumental effort, but if anyone can persuade the notoriously private superstar to knock back a few afternoon shots on camera, it might just be Seth.
