Indie rock legend Pete Doherty is stepping into the digital broadcasting arena alongside British comedian Josh Pugh. The duo has officially launched *The Pete Doherty Show*, a chaotic new YouTube series blending live music, stand-up, and coastal adventures. Filmed entirely on location in Margate—the seaside town in Kent deeply tied to Doherty and his bandmates in The Libertines—the project brings a wildly eclectic mix of pop culture personalities together. After teasing the collaboration across social media for months, the pair confirmed that full episodes are rolling out on YouTube.
What Is The Pete Doherty Show About?
The new video project takes the format of a rogue talk show mixed with an outdoor travelogue. Viewers will see the former Babyshambles frontman and Pugh exploring local Margate spots, interacting with town eccentricities, and sitting down for unscripted interviews. Speaking about the concept, Doherty described the show as a "musical and comedy adventure," playfully telling reports that he and Pugh believed "if the world needs anything right now, it needs another podcast." In addition to chat segments, the series delivers live acoustic sets from Doherty alongside musical guests, with alternative band GANS taking the stage during the debut episode. Dedicated fans will also get to watch Pugh attempt the famous "big breakfast" from Margate's Dalby Café—a legendary mega-meal that previously turned heads across social media after Doherty famously conquered it.

“if the world needs anything right now, it needs another podcast.”
Who Is Appearing On The Pete Doherty Show?
The inaugural season boasts an unexpectedly star-studded guest list spanning British television, alt-rock, and the UK stand-up circuit. Soap opera royalty Natalie Cassidy, best known for her long-running role on *EastEnders*, makes an appearance, alongside former TV presenter Richard Bacon. On the music front, Sleaford Mods vocalist Jason Williamson brings his trademark style to the Margate set. Meanwhile, comic relief is anchored by acclaimed stand-ups Ivo Graham and Jamali Maddix, both of whom step into Doherty's coastal sanctuary for interviews. Combining acoustic performances, food challenges, and seaside antics, the unexpected partnership between the rock icon and the comedian gives fans a whole new way to experience Doherty's surreal world.
