Teenager Xavier Trudeau is officially aiming for music success, and he recruited some seriously high-profile hype partners for his track's big reveal. The 18-year-old son of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau posted a chaotic clip to preview his newest single, showing off a promo moment that quickly set social media ablaze. Rather than filming inside a sleek studio or an upscale venue, the unexpected teaser unfolds right in the aisles of a home improvement shop. Standing surrounded by retail shelves, Justin Trudeau and pop powerhouse Katy Perry were filmed giving their live reactions as the fresh track played over the speakers.

The duo did far more than just nod along to the beat. According to reports, the world leader and the "Firework" singer went full goofy mode while listening to the song. In one of the most unexpected crossovers of the year, both Trudeau and Perry grabbed a giant hardware plunger and began dancing wildly down the retail aisle. Xavier leaned into the playful cringe factor of the video, sharing the clip to show off the exaggerated support from his famous father and the chart-topping pop icon. The sight of an international politician and a music megastar waving plumbing tools in a store created an instant viral sensation.
Katy Perry dancing in hardware store Internet viewers were quick to react to the unusual promotional stunt, with many pointing out the surreal blend of world politics, pop culture, and home repairs. While traditional song rollouts lean heavily on glossy music videos or radio premieres, Xavier took a far more unconventional path to generate buzz around his music catalog. It remains unclear what inspired the random store hangout, but the hilarious footage succeeded in getting people talking. Securing promo from both a world leader and an iconic hitmaker—plunger included—is certainly a memorable way to launch a track into the digital spotlight.
