Kate Hudson is taking her sweet time getting to the altar. The Hollywood star has opened up about the hurdles of planning her upcoming nuptials, years after her partner Danny Fujikawa popped the question. While fans have been eagerly waiting for news about the big day, the actress is keeping things surprisingly grounded about the reality of the whole process. The couple officially announced their engagement back in September 2021, sharing the happy moment with fans across social media. However, turning an engagement ring into a full-blown ceremony takes time, energy, and a lot of logistical decisions. Reports indicate that Hudson is feeling the pressure that comes with putting together a massive celebration, making the planning phase feel like a major undertaking. ## Is Kate Hudson still engaged to Danny Fujikawa? Yes, the pair are still very much together and engaged. Taking a longer path to the altar is nothing new in Hollywood, where busy production schedules, press tours, and family life frequently push wedding dates back. Rather than rushing down the aisle just to check a box, Hudson and Fujikawa appear to be navigating the timeline entirely on their own terms. Planning a high-profile wedding involves juggling endless details, from securing privacy-conscious venues to balancing guest lists and busy schedules. For Hudson, the hesitation around planning seems less about the commitment itself and more about the heavy lifting required to throw a massive party. Anyone who has ever tried to coordinate a major event knows the stress, even with Hollywood resources available. ## When did Kate Hudson and Danny Fujikawa get engaged? The duo made things official in September 2021. Since then, pop culture followers have constantly wondered when the star would finally tie the knot. But with both partners managing active creative careers and family commitments, organizing a wedding overnight was never going to happen. For now, Hudson seems content letting the process play out naturally without letting outside expectations dictate her timeline. Whether they end up pulling off a lavish international destination bash or deciding on a low-key gathering down the line, one thing remains clear: this couple is moving at their own pace.
