'Furious' Season 2 Locked In at Hulu and Disney+ Ahead of Finale

Get ready for another dose of high-stakes vengeance! The hit thriller *Furious* has been officially renewed for a second season by Disney+ and Hulu. Platform executives locked in the renewal on August 28, 2026, confirming the big news just days before the initial season wrapped its explosive run. Crafted by showrunner Elizabeth Meriwether, the dark series draws loose inspiration from the 1987 cinematic thriller *Black Widow*. The plot follows determined FBI special agent Alice Black as she goes head-to-head with a cunning, unstoppable killer who targets influential men connected to a massive ring of abuse. Across its initial eight-part run, the show earned widespread praise for its relentless pacing and morally complex characters.

Streaming bosses gave the green light for another installment right before the first season finale aired, proving just how much faith the network has in the gripping crime series. The show quickly turned into a total word-of-mouth sensation, making the fast renewal an easy choice for the streaming services. A huge part of the show's massive appeal stems from its stacked ensemble cast. *Furious* stars Emmy Rossum and Lola Petticrew at the center of the dark drama, backed by a stellar supporting group that includes Scoot McNairy, Jake Lacy, Rob Yang, Hope Davis, Quincy Tyler Bernstine, and Danny McCarthy. Their tense dynamics helped cement the show as one of the standout television hits of 2026.
