Ella Purnell Is Back to Living Her Deadly Truth in 'Sweetpea' Season 2 Trailer

Ella Purnell is officially stepping back into her darkest television role yet. Sky and Starz have released the first trailer for the upcoming second season of *Sweetpea*, offering fans a bloody look at what comes next for the small screen's most unexpected serial killer. The hit comedy-drama series centers on Rhiannon Lewis, played by Purnell, a quiet wallflower who spent years being continuously ignored and overlooked by everyone around her. That dynamic shifted drastically when she snapped, unleashing a hidden violent streak and stepping into a secret lifestyle. In the newly released preview clip, Rhiannon defiantly announces her intention to start living her absolute truth. The main complication, of course, is that her personal journey comes with a very high body count.

The storyline for the second chapter picks up immediately following the deadly events that closed out the first season. Viewers will watch Rhiannon attempt to manage the chaotic fallout of her violent actions while attempting to maintain her everyday cover as a regular citizen. With danger mounting from all sides, keeping her secret hidden becomes increasingly complicated. The show promises to continue blending high-stakes tension with its signature twisted satire as Rhiannon navigates the consequences of her choices and dives even deeper into her killer instincts.

The series remains a major joint production between Sky and Starz, bringing the darkly comic thriller to audiences across global markets. The fresh trailer gives viewers their first look at the rising stakes and chaotic moments ahead of the show's return. Purnell’s performance as the complex antiheroine remains the standout centerpiece of the franchise. As Rhiannon continues trying to balance her normal routine with her lethal extracurricular activities, the new season is set to deliver plenty more edge-of-your-seat moments for devoted fans.
