Disney+ Developing Live-Action 'Kane Chronicles' Series With Rick Riordan

Disney is officially doubling down on best-selling author Rick Riordan’s massive literary empire. A live-action television series based on *The Kane Chronicles* is currently in active development at Disney+, promising to bring another major piece of the writer's expansive fantasy world straight to streaming subscribers. The upcoming small-screen project sees Riordan partnering with acclaimed screenwriter and director Angela Robinson. Robinson brings serious prestige television credentials to the team, having previously worked on hit shows including *How to Get Away with Murder*, *True Blood*, and *The L Word*. Together, the creative duo will spearhead the development of the new series.

The Kane Chronicles TV show Bringing Robinson on board alongside Riordan signals a massive vote of confidence from the platform. Fans have long advocated for a faithful screen adaptation of the Egyptian mythology series, and Riordan's direct co-creation role ensures that the source material's signature humor and mythological detail will remain intact. As the project remains in early development, Disney+ has not yet announced casting decisions, episode orders, or an official premiere date. However, pre-production momentum is building fast as the studio continues to cement itself as the ultimate home for modern young-adult fantasy entertainment.
