Cardi B Defends KATSEYE Song 'Hootie Frutti' on IG Live

Cardi B is officially riding the KATSEYE wave, and she does not care what online critics have to say about it. The Grammy-winning rap icon recently popped onto Instagram Live to deliver a passionate defense of the girl group’s track "Hootie Frutti," proving that the song has been playing on heavy rotation inside her household. During her live broadcast, the hitmaker did not just talk about her affinity for the record — she put on a full mini-performance for her audience. Cardi busted out several moves from the track's viral choreography while belting out the lyrics. Addressing online trolls who have slammed the tune, the artist made it clear that her household is completely sold on the vibe, shouting out her daughters as fellow mega-fans. "Y’all hating on the song, but me, Kulture, and Blossom love it," Cardi told her viewers while grooving along to the rhythm. The playful session immediately exploded across social media feeds, sparking widespread calls for an official collaboration between the "Bodak Yellow" superstar and the rising global girl group.

The live stream was not the first indicator that Cardi's home is obsessed with the music video. A separate viral clip previously surfaced online showing the rap titan gathered with her family in her living room, watching KATSEYE’s visual play on a massive flat-screen television. Holding her baby daughter Blossom in her arms, Cardi was seen bouncing to the rhythm while her kids soaked in the bright pop visuals. KATSEYE, the global group assembled through a high-profile international talent project, have been rapidly gaining traction across mainstream pop culture. Securing an unprompted endorsement from one of hip-hop's biggest superstars provides a major boost for the group as they continue building their international fanbase.
