Babyshambles, Ash and Cast Set to Headline Shiiine On Weekender 2027

Indie rock fans, dust off your bucket hats and leather jackets. The team behind the Shiiine On Weekender has officially unveiled the opening batch of performers for its 2027 event, placing three beloved UK guitar bands right at the top of the poster. Cult favorite outfit Babyshambles, Northern Irish power trio Ash, and Liverpool Britpop mainstays Cast have been confirmed as the headline acts for the multi-day alternative music extravaganza. The upcoming festival is set to take over the seaside complex at Butlin’s in Skegness, running from March 19 through March 21. Saturday will spotlight Pete Doherty’s Babyshambles, who are also set to make their debut at the event as the main attraction for night two. The appearance comes alongside Doherty's busy schedule, which includes the ongoing Babyshambles reunion, writing material for The Libertines, and pursuing a second-hand store venture. Attendees can catch performances from legendary punk pioneers Buzzcocks, two-tone ska icons The Selecter, cork rock outfit The Sultans of Ping, and electronic-rock crossover band EMF. The lineup is further filled out by Puressence, electronic reggae group The Dub Pistols, Liverpool band The Farm, pop duo Dubstar, Ozric Tentacles, Banco de Gaia, Senser, The Supernaturals, and China Drum.
