Vince Gilligan

Vince Gilligan is a veteran television showrunner, writer, and series creator. He is the mastermind behind the drama series Pluribus, the creator of Breaking Bad, and a former writer on the nineties sci-fi hit series The X-Files.

Gilligan secured his first solo Emmy nomination in 1997 for scripting the Memento Mori episode of The X-Files. Nearly thirty years after that initial nomination, he won his first individual Emmy statuette for Outstanding Writing For a Drama Series for the premiere episode of Pluribus. His projects have also earned major series and acting honors, including an Emmy win for lead actress Rhea Seehorn, who plays Carol Sturka on Pluribus.

Following his individual writing victory at the Primetime Emmy Awards, Gilligan confirmed backstage that the storyline for the second season of Pluribus has been fully mapped out. Although final polished scripts were still being completed, the overarching narrative arc was cracked, with early scripts for the upcoming installment already penned.
