Today

Today is a live morning talk show featuring a regular team of hosts and co-anchors that includes Carson Daly, Jenna Bush Hager, and Sheinelle Jones. Broadcast live from its dedicated Studio 1A set, the morning program delivers daily news, live studio guest interviews, and pop-culture updates to television viewers watching at home.

The morning series frequently hosts celebrity sit-down interviews and major pop culture reveals. During one live broadcast, co-host Carson Daly surprised visiting actress Madelyn Cline on air by sharing the news that Sabrina Carpenter's House Tour music video, featuring a cameo by Cline, had officially earned a nomination at the upcoming MTV Video Music Awards.

Because the program is broadcast live, unscripted moments and unexpected accidents occasionally occur during production. During a routine morning segment, a camera operator suffered a frightening accident right in front of the set, leaving co-anchors Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones visibly shocked while crew members reacted to the workplace emergency.
