Susan Sarandon

Susan Sarandon is an Academy Award-winning actress and political activist. Known for her long career in cinema, her notable screen work includes starring in the feature film The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Sarandon recently starred in the dramatic feature film The Echo Chamber, directed by Andrea Pallaoro and adapted from Bernardo Bertolucci's final script. Co-starring alongside Alicia Vikander and Luca Marinelli, she attended the film's premiere at the Venice Film Festival, where it received an eight-minute standing ovation inside the theater. While attending festival events in Venice, she also made high-profile fashion appearances, including wearing a tailored pinstripe suit to an exclusive Miu Miu dinner.

In addition to her artistic work, Sarandon has spoken publicly about the industry pushback she faces due to her political stance. At a Venice Film Festival press conference, the 78-year-old actress revealed that talent agencies have warned producers against casting her over her support for Palestine. She also recently joined fellow actors in paying emotional tribute to her former co-star Tim Curry following his death.
