Ray Winstone

Ray Winstone is a veteran British screen actor known for his work across film and television. Among his prominent television roles, Winstone stars as the ruthless mob patriarch Bobby Glass in the hit Netflix British crime series The Gentlemen, created by Guy Ritchie.

Reflecting on his past screen performances, Winstone discussed his work in the 1982 cult music film Ladies And Gentlemen, The Fabulous Stains. In the production, he portrayed Billy, the fiery frontman for a fictional punk group called The Looters. The performance required him to sing at a microphone alongside real punk rock musicians from bands including The Clash and the Sex Pistols, appearing in scenes alongside actors Diane Lane and Laura Dern.

Winstone has also addressed industry conduct and set safety based on his experience on movie sets. In an interview, he recalled a past shoot where he stepped in after an unnamed director inappropriately touched a female co-star while demonstrating physical instructions for a sequence.
