Lucas Museum of Narrative Art

The Lucas Museum of Narrative Art is a large cultural institution and museum venue located in Los Angeles. Co-founded by filmmaker George Lucas and his wife, business executive Mellody Hobson, the futuristic facility was built as a legacy project celebrating narrative art.

Bringing the massive institution to completion involved a multi-year effort marked by extensive logistical hurdles and location planning. During a preview event ahead of its public debut, Lucas admitted that the grueling development timeline and process of constructing the facility nearly broke his endurance. Hobson also highlighted Lucas's dedication to the project, noting during a preview speech that he refused to compromise on his vision.

In September 2026, the museum hosted a series of high-profile preview events and an opening night gala leading up to its scheduled public launch on September 22. The exclusive gatherings drew significant Hollywood industry figures and red carpet guests, including Kim Kardashian, Leonardo DiCaprio, Oprah Winfrey, and Kris Jenner.
