Lionsgate

Lionsgate is a major studio heavyweight and production company responsible for releasing and producing theatrical feature films. The studio develops major cinema blockbusters, novel adaptations, biographical dramas, and suspense thrillers for moviegoers.

The studio's upcoming release slate features high-profile projects across multiple film genres. These projects include The Hunger Games prequel Sunrise on the Reaping, which launched promotional clips on its Capitol TV digital platform, as well as a biographical drama sequel to Michael developed alongside the late singer's estate. Lionsgate has also greenlit The Housemaid's Secret, a suspense continuation directed by Paul Feig that is scheduled for a 2027 theatrical release.

Lionsgate also manages theatrical releases and digital previews. Reports show that administrative mix-ups can affect these rollouts, such as when Amazon Prime Video accidentally published the full-length action feature Mutiny starring Jason Statham online for free days prior to its scheduled nationwide cinema debut.
