Law & Order: Svu

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, also commonly known as Law & Order: SVU, is a long-running NBC primetime crime drama procedural created by Dick Wolf. The series centers on law enforcement officers who investigate complex cases throughout New York City, serving as one of network television's flagship dramatic programs.

Starring Mariska Hargitay, who has portrayed iconic detective turned Captain Olivia Benson for decades, the series is recognized for its enduring place on prime-time television. Recent coverage highlights the show's ongoing production activities in New York, including guest appearances by high-profile figures such as New York Knicks point guard Jalen Brunson, who stepped off the court to film scenes for an upcoming cameo.

In addition to its main broadcast run, the show maintains a substantial footprint across broader popular culture. It is frequently referenced and celebrated by prominent fans, as demonstrated during the 2026 Emmy Awards when pop superstar Taylor Swift joined Hargitay in a pre-taped comedy sketch parodying the series.
