Johnny Marr

Johnny Marr is a British guitarist, songwriter, and musician best known as the former guitarist for indie rock group The Smiths. Throughout a career spanning several decades, he has established himself as an influential figure in British guitar music, maintaining an active solo career alongside high-profile studio collaborations.

In recent years, Marr has continued to release new music, following his 2022 release Fever Dreams Pts 1-4 with the announcement of his fifth solo studio album, The Age of Everything, set for release in October 2026 behind the single "It's Time." His studio work also includes recording sessions with pop artist Billie Eilish, while he maintains close personal and professional bonds with long-term peers in the rock music scene.

Marr has also put historic artifacts from his career on display, showcasing an 80-instrument archive at Christie's auction house in London. The collection features historic gear such as his 1982 black Rickenbacker 330 electric guitar, used to compose foundational tracks for The Smiths, alongside equipment utilized across his subsequent solo and collaborative recordings.
