Jason Segel

Jason Segel is an actor and television co-creator best known for his lead roles on the comedy series Shrinking and the long-running sitcom How I Met Your Mother.

As a co-creator and star of Shrinking alongside Bill Lawrence and Brett Goldstein, Segel plays Jimmy Laird, a grieving therapist navigating life after personal tragedy. He has teased that the show's fourth season shifts away from heavy grief toward a late-blooming romantic comedy chapter for his character in his mid-40s. The series co-starring Harrison Ford has also faced legal drama after a former crew member filed a workplace harassment lawsuit against Warner Bros Television.

Earlier in his career, Segel spent nine seasons in the core ensemble of How I Met Your Mother. Former co-star Josh Radnor has publicly reflected on how time and distance have naturally shifted the day-to-day dynamics among the cast, which also featured Neil Patrick Harris, Alyson Hannigan, and Cobie Smulders.
