Grian Chatten

Grian Chatten is an Irish musician best known as the frontman and lead singer of the post-punk rock band Fontaines D.C. Performing alongside his bandmates, Chatten has led the group from European arena shows to major headline festival appearances and stadium-level venue tours.

In August 2026, Chatten drew widespread attention while headlining the Reading Festival main stage. During the set, he wore a green and white Cwmbran Celtic FC jersey—a special edition football kit designed in collaboration with Scottish post-rock group Mogwai—to support grassroots music venues and local sports culture. His wardrobe choice resulted in a significant overnight surge in merchandise orders for the Welsh semi-professional football team. During the same month, Chatten joined American singer-songwriter Kurt Vile onstage at La Route du Rock festival in France to perform Roman Holiday.

Chatten and Fontaines D.C. released the single Marianne in August 2026 while announcing their studio album Dopamine Chamber, produced by James Ford and released through XL Recordings. The album announcement paid tribute to the band's late manager, Trevor Dietz. Following rapid sellouts for their 2026 European arena dates, Chatten and the band announced an outdoor and stadium tour across Great Britain for summer 2027.
