Cordae

Cordae is a hip-hop artist and rap star who originally began making music under the moniker YBN Cordae. Over the course of his music career, he has earned recognition as one of hip-hop's slickest and most dynamic creative voices, known for delivering classic rap verses, smooth melodies, and an effortless studio rapport.

Cordae established a close creative brotherhood with fellow artist Anderson.Paak that stretches back several years. After first demonstrating their dynamic chemistry on prior music together, the frequent studio partners formally announced their debut joint full-length album, titled Heavy Is The Crown. Scheduled to arrive on streaming platforms on October 23, 2026, the project is being distributed through a partnership between APESHIT, Mass Appeal, and EMPIRE.

The rollout for the album features comedic promotional teasers, including a viral trailer where the pair bicker in their boxers in a scene heavily inspired by the 2008 cult comedy film Step Brothers. Physical collectors' editions include an animated zoetrope vinyl pressing and a custom lenticular-cover CD. The duo launched the project's official rollout with the single A Good Day, which samples Bill Withers' 1977 soul hit Lovely Day and features a music video directed by Dave Meyers that pays homage to the movie Friday.
