Cole Escola

Cole Escola is a comedian, playwright, and actor recognized for writing and starring in original theatrical work as well as performing in film and television projects. Escola gained widespread acclaim for creating a viral stage comedy that achieved success on Broadway before transitioning to screen adaptations.

Escola created and wrote the hit theatrical production Oh, Mary!, starring in the central role of historical figure Mary Todd Lincoln. The raucous hit stage show saw a lineage of notable performers take on the main character, including drag icon Jinkx Monsoon, comedy veteran Maya Rudolph, and actress Meg Stalter. Escola was subsequently announced to reprise the acclaimed title role for a filmed performance special on HBO, appearing in character in promotional material with Sarah Jessica Parker and Cynthia Nixon.

Beyond stage work, Escola expanded into voice acting for major animated feature films. Escola was cast as part of an ensemble voice lineup for the Warner Bros. Pictures Animation holiday comedy feature Margie Claus, joining a cast led by Melissa McCarthy, Jim Gaffigan, Octavia Spencer, and Andrew Scott.
