Charles Spencer biography
Charles Spencer, the 9th Earl Spencer, is a British aristocrat and author best known as the younger brother of the late Princess Diana. He spent his childhood years with his sister at Althorp House, a historic estate in the United Kingdom, and famously delivered a eulogy at her 1997 funeral inside Westminster Abbey.
In August 2026, Spencer announced the release of a personal memoir titled Swan Song: Diana, My Sister, scheduled for global publication on September 22. The book promises an unvarnished account of their shared upbringing and Diana's life under intense media scrutiny. One week prior to its scheduled release, an unreleased copy of the manuscript was reported stolen during a heist in the Netherlands.
