Catherine Zeta-jones

Catherine Zeta-Jones is an Academy Award-winning Welsh actress originally from Swansea. She has established a prominent career spanning international cinematic blockbusters, historic period pieces, and major television projects.

In her screen work, Zeta-Jones starred in the musical film Chicago and leads the mystery thriller series Kill Jackie, an eight-episode television project scheduled for release on Prime Video and AMC+. For her performance in the series, she returned to her roots by using her natural Swansea accent on screen instead of adapting her vocal delivery to American or generic British tones.

In her personal life, Zeta-Jones married actor Michael Douglas in November 2000, and the couple attributes the longevity of their union to spending time apart while maintaining busy individual acting schedules. They share two adult children, Dylan Douglas and Carys Douglas, who are both pursuing careers in the performing arts. Zeta-Jones was also included in trust documents executed by her late father-in-law, actor Kirk Douglas. She has publicly defended her children against online discourse surrounding celebrity lineage, calling the nepo baby label a horrific term.
