Buffy The Vampire Slayer

Buffy The Vampire Slayer is an iconic late-nineties supernatural drama television series set in the fictional town of Sunnydale. The show follows the adventures of ultimate vampire hunter Buffy Summers, portrayed by Sarah Michelle Gellar, alongside her supernatural allies and her brooding vampire soulmate, Angel.

The television franchise continues to generate media attention through nostalgic merchandise drops and discussions surrounding potential revivals. Mattel recently expanded the universe by releasing a specialized Monster High two-pack collector doll set that reimagines main characters Buffy Summers and Angel in gothic high-fashion style. Meanwhile, plans for a television revival at Hulu were ultimately shelved by network executives before coming to fruition.

Members of the original cast remain closely associated with the iconic series during public appearances and interviews. Actor Seth Green revealed on a podcast that producers never contacted him to reprise his role as the guitar-playing werewolf Oz for the canceled Hulu project. Additionally, Gellar and former co-star David Boreanaz made headlines when they walked the red carpet together at the 2026 Emmy Awards.
