Rex Orange County Teams Up With Daniel Caesar on New Single 'Indecision'

Rex Orange County is officially back with fresh music, and he brought a familiar R&B superstar along for the ride. The British singer-songwriter has reunited with Canadian artist Daniel Caesar on a brand-new single titled "Indecision." The fresh release delivers a deeply emotional punch, diving straight into themes of personal self-doubt, second-guessing, and weighing internal instincts against real-world reality. It marks the latest entry in an ongoing creative partnership between the two acclaimed hitmakers.

Indecision" finds both vocalists leaning into soulful melodies and introspective lyricism. The track captures the exact sensation of being caught at a frustrating personal crossroads, navigating mixed signals, and trying to balance what you know in your head versus what you feel in your heart. To accompany the audio drop, the pair unveiled a scenic visual shot on location in Montana. Helmed by cinematographer Rhys Scarabosio, the new video delivers striking wide-open landscapes that fit the quiet, contemplative mood of the soulful track.

BUZZBEAT

This is far from the first time the duo has traded harmonies in the studio. Their artistic bond originally kicked off back in 2025, when they surprised music lovers with a joint double release featuring the songs "Rearrange My World" and "There’s a Field (That’s Only Yours)." Their studio chemistry extended well beyond those initial tracks. Rex Orange County, whose real name is Alexander James O’Connor, went on to lend his songwriting and production talents to multiple cuts on Caesar’s 2025 studio record, *Son of Spergy*. The arrival of "Indecision" follows an extremely intimate promotional run for the UK artist. Before dropping the new single, the singer spent several weeks traveling across Ireland and the United Kingdom, delivering unannounced acoustic pop-up concerts inside the actual living rooms of his dedicated fans. With "Indecision" now out in the wild and the fan-centric house shows wrapped, listeners are eager to see if this latest collaborative effort signals a bigger project on the horizon for the British artist.
