Radiohead Announce Massive 2027 Residency Tour Across Australia and Japan

Get ready for a major live music event. Legendary British alt-rock icons Radiohead have officially announced a massive run of residency performances across Australia and Japan scheduled for 2027. The upcoming tour will bring the band back to the Asia-Pacific region for a select number of multi-night engagements. The newly confirmed routing includes 21 total concerts taking place across four distinct cities: Perth, Melbourne, and Sydney in Australia, followed by a series of dates in Saitama, Japan. The expansive plans follow comments made earlier this year by guitarist Ed O’Brien, who explained that the band intends to tackle the globe one continent at a time starting in 2027. According to O’Brien, the band's long-term blueprint involves playing roughly 20 shows per year on a designated continent—no more and no less.

The 2027 leg is set to begin on May 3 at the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia, launching a string of consecutive dates in the city. After completing their Western Australia stand, the group will head East for residency dates in Melbourne and Sydney before taking their stage production over to Saitama. These upcoming concerts mark the band's latest chapter after making a highly anticipated return to the stage last year across Europe and the UK. That previous tour served as Radiohead's first set of live performances together since 2018, featuring a 20-date run that included four sellout shows at London's O2 Arena.
