Dust off the blender and get the tequila ready, because the Owens sisters are officially back to brew up a massive box office weekend. Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman are reuniting on the big screen for *Practical Magic 2*, and industry watchers expect the witchy sequel to conjure up some major cash right out of the gate. Early tracking estimates suggest the fantasy follow-up is eyeing a domestic debut anywhere from $30 million to $40 million. If those projections hold true, the spellbinding movie could dethrone *Spider-Man: Brand New Day* from the top spot on the weekend charts.
Practical Magic 2 box office projections Theater owners are relying on the nostalgic sequel to keep ticket sales hot following a booming summer season. The original 1998 romantic comedy-fantasy may have received mixed reviews upon its initial release, but it quickly transformed into an untouchable cult staple. Decades later, its late-night kitchen dancing and signature midnight margaritas remain pop-culture royalty. Bringing Kidman and Bullock back together as magical sisters Sally and Gillian Owens gives the project instant star power. Studio insiders are banking on a double wave of audience interest: long-time fans who grew up with the original, plus a younger generation that embraced the cozy aesthetic through streaming and viral social media trends.
Sandra Bullock Nicole Kidman reunion details Taking down a giant Marvel franchise at the box office is never a simple task, but initial buzz for *Practical Magic 2* indicates high demand for female-led, star-heavy blockbusters. Advance ticket sales have reportedly been strong, driven largely by moviegoers looking for a nostalgic trip back to the Owens family estate. If the upper end of tracking comes through at $40 million, it will mark one of the strongest openings for a belated legacy sequel in recent memory. Fans are clearly ready to raise a glass with Hollywood's favorite witchy duo once again.
