Lucien Laviscount Joins Daisy Ridley In Action Thriller 'The Good Samaritan'

Lucien Laviscount is swapping swoon-worthy Parisian romance for high-octane suspense. The English actor, best known for stealing hearts on Netflix's hit series *Emily in Paris*, has officially signed on to co-star alongside *Star Wars* favorite Daisy Ridley in the upcoming action-thriller *The Good Samaritan*. The feature is set to be directed by veteran filmmaker Pierre Morel, who famously launched Liam Neeson into modern action icon status with the blockbuster *Taken*. Working from a script penned by *Rambo: Last Blood* screenwriter Matthew Ian Cirulnick, the project combines a heavy-hitting crew behind the camera with a stacked cast in front of it.

Alongside Laviscount and Ridley, Hollywood veteran Josh Duhamel has also secured a lead role in the thriller. While concrete plot details and character profiles are still being kept under wraps by production, reports indicate that foreign distribution rights are already selling quickly at international film markets. Laviscount's move into intense action marks another huge milestone in his rapidly rising film career. After breaking out globally as Alfie on *Emily in Paris*, the actor also bagged a lead role in the upcoming movie adaptation of Emily Henry's bestselling romantic novel *People We Meet on Vacation*. Pivoting from breezy romantic comedies to a high-stakes action flick highlights the star's expanding Hollywood footprint.

Daisy Ridley brings her own blockbuster pedigree to the feature, having anchored major franchises and intense dramas alike. Teaming up with Morel—a director renowned for relentless pacing and physical action sequences—signals that *The Good Samaritan* will offer plenty of suspense for moviegoers. Although official filming schedules and premiere windows have not yet been announced, momentum on the project is building fast. With key global distribution deals wrapping up and a star-studded cast secured, fans can expect further updates as production draws closer.
