Kristin Cavallari Lands Lead Role in Roku Rom-Com 'Cowboy Hearts'

Kristin Cavallari is stepping right back into the spotlight for her next big screen effort. The former MTV icon turned lifestyle entrepreneur has officially secured the lead role in *Cowboy Hearts*, an original romantic comedy feature heading straight to Roku. In a clever meta twist that nods directly to her own Hollywood origins, Cavallari is set to play a hard-working reality television producer. Her character gets tangled up in unexpected personal drama while producing a high-stakes, rodeo-themed dating series, proving that love behind the camera can get just as wild as anything captured on film.

The project strengthens Cavallari’s lucrative relationship with the Roku platform. The streamer previously scored a record-breaking hit when it launched *The Reunion: Laguna Beach*, which quickly smashed internal streaming records to become the service's biggest unscripted debut to date. Following that massive viewer response, partnering on a feature-length romance felt like a natural next step for both the star and the network. Cavallari originally exploded onto the pop-culture scene as a high school senior on MTV's groundbreaking docuseries *Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County* during the mid-2000s. Her sharp wit and unapologetic presence made her an instant reality titan, leading to a prominent run on its spin-off *The Hills*. Years later, she headlined her own hit E! series *Very Cavallari*, while simultaneously building her successful jewelry and lifestyle empire, Uncommon James.
