CBS Pulls the Plug on 'Big Brother' Live Feeds To Hide Massive Game Twist

Superfans of *Big Brother* are facing the ultimate test of patience. CBS officially pulled the plug on the reality series' signature 24/7 live feeds in a dramatic move to guard a massive, game-altering secret currently taking place inside the house. The unexpected feed blackout dropped immediately following Thursday night's landmark broadcast, which marked the juggernaut show's 1,000th episode. After watching the seventh houseguest get sent packing in Episode 25, viewers logging onto the live feeds to catch the post-eviction aftermath were instead met with total darkness.

Production made the extraordinary call to cut the live streams to block any potential spoilers from leaking online ahead of the next scheduled episode. With an unprecedented twist unfolding behind locked doors, network brass decided that absolute game secrecy was more important than maintaining round-the-clock access for diehard fans. The sudden feed shutdown left dedicated feed watchers scrambling across social media, completely starved of their usual dose of raw house drama, game strategy sessions, and middle-of-the-night whispers.

BUZZBEAT

To help soften the blow of the sudden blackout, viewers attempting to stream the live coverage were greeted with a cheeky message telling them to take a break from their screens, step outside, and smell the flowers while the secret operation unfolds inside the compound. While the streams remain completely dark, the remaining houseguests are navigating the mysterious new game mechanic in absolute isolation from the viewing public. Feed watchers will simply have to sit tight until the next television broadcast to see whatever explosive twist CBS is desperate to keep under wraps.
