Tim Westwood Faces Additional Sexual Assault Charges Involving Two More Women

Former broadcasting personality Tim Westwood is facing expanded criminal proceedings after law enforcement authorities charged him with sexual offences involving two additional women. The updated legal filings significantly broaden the ongoing prosecution against the former radio DJ, who built a prominent career across British entertainment over several decades. According to statements from law enforcement officials, the newly filed charges relate to separate incidents that allegedly took place in different parts of London. Authorities allege that Westwood committed an indecent assault against a 16-to-17-year-old female in the Hammersmith and Fulham area during 1991. A second count relates to an alleged sexual assault involving an 18-year-old woman in Wandsworth that reportedly took place in 2004.

These latest allegations represent an expansion of the broad case built against Westwood. Prosecutors previously brought serious criminal charges against him during October 2025 regarding allegations from seven women. With the two newest accusers included, the veteran broadcaster now faces a combined total of 17 criminal counts involving nine women. The scope of the alleged behavior spans more than three decades, with claimed offenses occurring from 1983 through 2016. Among the overall charges currently pending against him are four rape counts, nine charges of indecent assault, and four counts of sexual assault. Westwood previously entered formal pleas of not guilty to all counts put before him during earlier proceedings at Southwark Crown Court.

Westwood is expected to attend Westminster Magistrates’ Court on a schedule that remains to be determined to address the most recent allegations. That court appearance will mark the next step in processing the newly added charges through the judicial system. Meanwhile, the main trial covering the initial set of charges remains scheduled to begin on January 25, 2027, at Southwark Crown Court. Law enforcement representatives emphasized that specialized support teams remain available for all individuals who have submitted reports during the extensive investigation. Public prosecutors noted that the updated charges follow a careful evaluation of fresh evidence provided to investigative teams.
