A major original television project is coming to streaming screens just in time for the season of love. Hollywood stars Ayo Edebiri and Will Sharpe are joining forces to front *Prodigies*, a brand-new romantic comedy series officially slated to debut on Apple TV ahead of Valentine's Day. The seven-part limited release will make its premiere on Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2027. Viewers looking for a quick binge will get a double-dose right at launch, as the first two installments will arrive on the streaming platform together. After the premiere week, new episodes will drop on a regular weekly release schedule leading up to the series finale on March 17, 2027.

What Is The Plot Of Prodigies?

The core narrative revolves around Didi, played by Edebiri, and Ren, played by Sharpe. Both individuals spent their younger years as recognized childhood wunderkinds. However, now that they are settled into their 30s, the pair begins to step back and reevaluate the romantic partnership they have maintained ever since they were nine years old. The global story spans multiple continents, carrying audiences all the way from Virginia across to London and Tokyo. Framed as an unconventional approach to the standard romantic comedy genre, the series tackles heavy themes including unfulfilled childhood potential, personal ambition, and the daunting realities of navigating a decades-long relationship. As the two lead characters begin to question whether their ordinary adult lives match up to their youthful brilliance, they find themselves pushed into a terrifying new era of chaos.
